The Range Rover Sports Phev has been updated with a new bumper, new headlight, new rear bumper, new spoiler and many changes inside. Starting with the inside with the 3 screens, the top screen is very wide controlling navigation, phone, bluetooth etc. The screen below controls the climate control, heated seats and various vehicle functions, and a wide digital display for the driver which you operate with the steering wheel buttons. Various options of leather seats, alloy wheels and sound systems with top of the range options that add up in price. The Range Rover Sport feels quality and value for money with no cheap feel of plastic but all good quality fittings and finishes. A rear trim less mirror with the vanity mirror having a couple of spot lights that gives a feel of stardom. The seating position is a high typical Range Rover feel, with a slight cocoon feeling with the wrap around dash design. The drivers arm rest is an added quality for the driver. Storage in the side dash is great with cup holders and underneath having a storage area, the added small fridge in some models is top notch. The side storage int he door is a little awkward if you have a drinks bottle in it as you can't remove it until the car stops and you open the door. Taking a look in the rear boot it is big enough considering you have a spare wheel stored underneath but you do have an option of rear facing seats to make the Range Rover Sport Phev a 7 seater and the seats then store underneath, very clever and neat. If you want to make the boot a viewing platform you can raise the rear end of the vehicle and you can add a tow bar as an additional option if required.
It drives just as you would expect for a vehicle this size, it can feel a bit heavy around town but it is everything you want when you hit the motorways. When charging with a home charging cable into your home socket this can take up to 7.5 hours.
Charging overnight with a EV Charging Cable Type 2 to Type 2 into a charging station can take as little as 2h30m. The Interactive Driver Display feature tells you how efficiently you’re driving and gives you real-time data about how the electric motor is working alongside the conventional combustion engine.
Although this is a highly durable , we do not recommend leaving the cable out when not charging. The charging pins will not rust and the cable is waterproof but to prelong the lifetime of the range rover charging cable, we recommend locking the cable in your porch or garage.
